Hundreds of youths took to the streets of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital, to express solidarity with Governor Seriake Dickson over a Federal High Court ruling in his favour on Wednesday.

The youths, who defied the heavy downpour embarked on a peaceful procession mainly along the busy Mbiama-Yenagoa road and chanted solidarity songs for the governor over his developmental strides in the state.

Addressing them at the Gate of Government House, Yenagoa, the Chief of Staff, Dame Didi Walson-Jack described the ruling as a victory not only for the governor but also for democracy and the people of the state.

Dame Didi noted that the victory marks the present administration’s move to ensure that the state is restored to its lost glory.
